The largest and most famous of Tuscany’s spa towns, Montecatini Terme has been revered for its curative waters since at least the 16th century, when the first baths were built here.
Day trips will include the local highlights of Florence, Lucca, Sienna, Vinci, CInque Terre and more!
After landing at Florence or Pisa Airport, complete customs and immigration formalities.
Your tour director will welcome you to Italy and escort you and your luggage to the coach. Transfer to your hotel in Montecatini, check in and enjoy the balance of the afternoon at leisure.
In the evening, join your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner in the hotel restaurant.
After a short drive spend the day in Lucca. The birthplace of Italian composer, Giacomo Puccia Lucca is famous for its cobblestone streets and well-preserved ancient city walls. Take the time to meander the streets enjoying a coffee and lunch at your leisure.
Dinner will be on your own in Montecatini.
Today, travel into Florence and embark on a guided tour of the magnificent city.
Stop to visit the Accademia Museum, which was founded in 1784 and hosts a collection of sculptures, picture galleries and paintings. One of the most important works on display at the museum is David by Michelangelo completed around 1504.
Return to your hotel in Montecatini and enjoy some free time before heading to a local venue to enjoy a traditional dinner.
This morning, set off to explore the Cinque Terre Region. The villages of Monterosso al Mare, Riomaggiore, Corniglia, and Manarola and Vernazza make up this charming area.
There are also rugged hillsides, a national park and a world heritage site that make up this area.
Also, enjoy use of your Cinque Terre Card to explore the region via train. Pass through the region’s quaint villages and take in wonderful scenic views as you travel along the area, which is often untouched to modern commercial development.
Head back to your hotel in Montecatini for some free time before dinner in the hotel restaurant.
After four days of exploring, it's time to take a day for yourself. Spend the day at the hotel spa, explore the town of Montecatini Terme, the day is yours to plan.
Today, take in wonderful scenic views as you travel through Tuscany’s low-lying hills and olive groves to Siena, one of Italy’s most beautiful cities. Upon arrival, spend some time at leisure to soak up Siena’s captivating ambiance and perhaps have an independent lunch in one of the city’s cafes.
Next, journey into San Gimignano, one of Italy’s best preserved medieval villages. Enjoy some free time to explore around this picturesque hill town, which is encircled by 13th century city walls.
Return to your hotel in Montecatini and spend some time at leisure before a festive evening. Tonight, drive to Castello di Verrazzano to enjoy a wine tasting followed by a classic Italian dinner.
After breakfast, drive into Vinci, located just outside of Florence, and stop for a look around the city, known as the birthplace of famed artist, Leonardo da Vinci.
Next, travel into San Miniato to enjoy a Truffle Hunting Experience. Learn about different truffles that grow in Tuscany as you set off to find the delicious treat. While here, also enjoy a truffle lunch.
Head back to your hotel in Montecatini and spend the balance of the day at leisure to relax, sightsee and shop.
We'll enjoy a final farewell dinner together at the hotel.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight home.
