Darcio is native Azorean born on the island of Faial. After time in America, the Netherlands and mainland Portugal Darcio made his home in Terceira.
Darcio is a certified Geopark guide with a passion for nature and history. By our standards Darcio is the best tour guide in the Azores and our clients tend to agree!
Kristi made her first trip to Terceira in 2018. She was blown away by the beauty, hospitality and tranquility of the island and its' people.
Six islands later and she's made it her job to help people visit these amazing islands and have the adventure of a life time!

After checking into the hotel you can grab breakfast and take a quick walk around the city of Ribeira Grande.
We'll then leave you to rest and join you again at 6:00 in the lobby "Welcome" meeting at the bar overlooking the ocean.
Today we'll start the day with the magnificant Lagoa do Fogo - Lake of Fire. You'll be blown away by views of this stunning virgin untouched beach. We'll try the liquors of Mulher de Capote and then we'll head to the beautiful waterfall of Salto do Prego. We'll stop at the hot springs of Caldeira Velha to relax and then we'll head back to the hotel.
Today we start at the pineapple plantation and learn about the unique way pineapples are grown in the Azores. We'll then continue on to explore Sete Cidades (Seven CIties) from top to bottom. Enjoy views from the Kings view point and then we'll continue down to visit the city and have a buffet lunch with traditional foods. We'll spend time at the lakes edge and end our day with sunset at Moisteros.
Enjoy a day at the beach, explore the city of Ribeira Grande. Schedule your welcome spa treatment. Take time for yourself.
Today we'll start by exploring the iconic landscape of the Goreanna Tea Plantation. We'll then continue to the east side of the island as we spend time in the gorgeous park of Ribeira dos Caldeiros. We'll meander the trails of this old water mill village and enjoy the views in every direction. We'll continue on the visit Nordeste and Povoacao and stop at the waterfall of Ribeira Quente before we head back to Ribeira Grande.
We'll be checking out of our hotel today as we begin our next phase of our adventure. We'll stop first at the point of Santa Iria which gives you breathtaking coast line views. We'll then stop at the tea plantation of Porto Formosa and try the black tea of the oldest tea plantation of Europe. After tea we'll head to Furnas where you'll see the active steam geysers and for lunch we'll try the cozido, the traditional meal prepared in the geysers. We'll end the day checking into the Terra Nostra Garden Hotel. As a guest you'll have unlimited access to the botanical gardens and hot spring pool.
Today we'll relax and enjoy the Terra Nostra botanical gardens and hot springs. Get lost on the endless paths, explore the grottos and be mesmerised by the beauty of Terra Nostra.
We'll gather at 6:30 for our final dinner together.
All good things must end. Enjoy your final breakfast and take your last stroll through the garden before we head to the airport.
